- Whether a bank card taps straight onto the gate or the reader, or only buys a ticket at a machine first.
- Whether tapping is capped for a day, and what area that cap covers.
- Which local card or app a visitor can actually get, where to get it, and whether it wants a local address or bank.
- Whether the airport link is sold on the same ticket as the city network, or on its own.
- Whether the machines take a foreign card, and whether they ask for a PIN.
Start on the transport authority's own site, not a summary of it, and open the local-language version: the English one is usually shorter. For the airport leg, go to the airport's own site. That is the order this site works in.
