Privacy

This site sets no cookies and asks you for nothing. There is no sign-in, no account and no advertising, so there is nothing here to consent to.

What is collected

A count of page views, and that is the whole of it

What is not collected

The list is short because the site is static

No cookies. No advertising. No profile, no name, no email address and no location beyond the country a request arrived from. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone for their own purposes. The pages themselves are plain files with no login behind them, so there is no account data to hold in the first place.

The site is served through Cloudflare, so a request for a page passes through their network the way any web request passes through a host. If you would rather ask about any of this than read about it, the contact page reaches a person.

Page views are counted twice over, by Cloudflare Web Analytics and by PostHog, and neither sets a cookie or stores an identifier on your device. Cloudflare records the page opened, the country the request came from, the browser and how quickly the page loaded. PostHog records the same pages, what you came from, which of the sections you opened, whether you opened one of the questions, and roughly how far down a section you read — because that is how we tell whether an answer is worth reading rather than just landed on. PostHog is a third party, though your browser never talks to it directly: the requests go to rideanswers.com and this site passes them on, so nothing is fetched from a tracking domain and no cookie can be set along the way. Its copy of this sits on servers in the European Union, and it is not given your IP address: the project discards it the moment a request arrives, keeping only the country it resolved from it. It holds no profile of you: with nothing stored on your device, a second visit is a stranger to it, and it can see nothing you do on any other site.

The contact form sends what you type — your name, your email address, the topic and your message — to Web3Forms, which passes it to us by email. It is kept for as long as it takes to reply and act on it. You are not added to anything, because there is nothing to be added to. If you would rather not involve a third party, the email address on the contact page goes to the same person.
