Arrow Cars and taxis in Newcastle upon Tyne
Arrow Cars is the airport's own on-site firm: a booking office in the arrivals hall, kiosks and a pick-up point immediately outside, and fares fixed and paid up front with nothing added for starting at an airport. Uber and Bolt both serve the airport, though Uber's metered Taxi product is not offered for journeys to or from it — you get the standard car classes instead. In the city, a licensed Hackney Carriage must charge the council's prescribed tariff and may not go above it. Tickets, passes and contactless are on the Newcastle upon Tyne page.

Hackney Carriage
- How you pay
- Cards at some. The Council's 2023 Licensing Policy establishes that debit/credit/contactless card payment is an accepted method on the meter fare (the overcharging rule explicitly governs it), but the policy does not state cash acceptance is mandatory or guaranteed, nor that card acceptance itself is mandatory (only that meters cannot overcharge when a card/contactless device IS used).
