Bike & e-scooter hire in Barcelona
Bicing, the city bike scheme you see racked all over Barcelona, is closed to visitors: registration needs a Spanish DNI or NIE, it is sold as an annual subscription, and the operator says outright that it is not a rental for tourists. AMBici has the visitor door, with day passes and adult sign-up that asks for no ID document, but it covers the fifteen municipalities ringing the city rather than Barcelona itself. Donkey Republic hires by app inside the city; return a bike away from a designated hub and you are charged for it. Tickets, passes and contactless are on the Barcelona page.
Dockless vehicles park on-street inside app-approved zones; there is no station to return them to.
