Berlin Airport
Getting between Berlin Airport and Berlin, both directions. Pick your terminal below: what serves BER differs by terminal.
BER sits in zone C, and the Berlin AB ticket most visitors buy does not reach it. You need a Berlin ABC ticket, €5.00 for a single, or an Anschlussfahrausweis at €2.40, which extends an AB ticket you already hold into zone C. Nothing running to the airport charges a premium on top, so the trap is the zone rather than the fare. Terminal 5 is closed.

Train 4
- How you pay
- Pay by paper ticket, app ticket, cash or contactless.
- Terminals
- Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 - the shared rail station Flughafen BER sits directly beneath Terminal 1 at level U2; Terminal 2 is reached from the station via a short walkway.
- Worth knowing
- FEX charges the standard VBB zone tariff - there is no airport-express premium/supplement fare (unlike, for example, London's Heathrow Express or Edinburgh's Airport Zone tram fare). A plain Berlin AB ticket or season pass does not cover BER - either a full Berlin ABC ticket or an AB ticket plus the Anschlussfahrschein zone-C extension is required.
