Uber and taxis in Prague
Prague sets a maximum taxi tariff: 60 Kč to start, 36 Kč a kilometre and 7 Kč a minute waiting. App bookings with a price agreed up front are not held to it. The exception is Uber Airport, the airport's official taxi service. You book it at its staffed desk, at a self-service kiosk or in the Uber app. You see the price before you confirm, and it may not exceed the taxi maximum. The kiosk takes cards only; the desk, open from 07:00 to 21:00, and the app take card or cash. Tickets, passes and contactless are on the Prague page.
Its cars pick up directly in front of the arrivals halls of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. If a metered taxi driver asks for more than the maximum or will not give you a receipt, do not pay, and call the municipal police on 156.
